Resilience

Application of Gripseal Resilience Interior & Exterior water-based sealant

Step 1:

Ensure that the surface is completely free of oil, grease, stains and solvents.
On new wood, sand until smooth.
On previously varnished or oiled surfaces, remove previous coat by sanding or by using a paint stripper.

Step 2:

Stir contents thoroughly.
Use Gripseal sponge brush, paint brush or spray gun. Apply the first coat of the product diluted 50/50 with clean tap water. Do not apply in direct sunlight.

Step 3:

Apply a second undiluted coat after a minimum of 30 minutes and sand lightly between the second and final coat.

Step 4:

Apply one further undiluted, thin coat after a further 30 minutes and allow 12 hours for sealant to cure completely.

Step 5:

Clean applicators with clean water directly after application.

Please note: Contrary to normal thought, the thinner the coats the better, as thinner coats result in deeper penetration and longer durability and performance.
So for best results apply thin coats.
