Supportive Products Application

Gripflex Sealing and Weatherproofing Compound

  1. Ensure that the surfaces to be coated are free of oil, grease, dirt and loose paint. Damp surfaces can be coated, but this prolong curing time.
  2. Gripflex is not compatible with acidic surfaces. In cases where acidic substances such as cement removers have been used, the surface must be neutralized with Gripseal neutralizer prior to application.
  3. Apply Gripseal with a paint brush or roller.
  4. When used in conjunction with a membrane, apply a liberal coat of Gripflex to the surface, bed the membrane into the wet coat with a roller or stiff brush and apply a second coat over the membrane, ensuring that the edges of the membrane are overlapped with Gripflex.
  5. Clean applicators with water immediately after use.

Drying and Curing:

This will depend on the thickness of the coats applied. Touch dry in approximately one hour. Full curing time is 7 to 10 days. NB: Do not attempt application if rain is imminent, or at temperatures below 5’C.

1 Litre/2m2 per coat but will vary with thickness of coat applied.
